Period protection for young girls: 2,000 “panties” in Bergerac

Each middle school student is entitled to a kit of three pairs of panties, each high school student to two. The distribution is accompanied by awareness-raising and information campaigns on periods, puberty, and sexual consent. The first distribution took place on Monday, June 2, at Eugène-Le-Roy Middle School.
Compared to other types of protection, such as tampons or sanitary napkins, panties are much more comfortable (because they're not intrusive), healthier, and produce no waste. But they're also much more expensive to purchase, hence this initiative.
